This design, Waves, represents movement. Imagine this piece placed between two chairs facing each other. The piece is an interpretation of conversation, the winding and tangling of words, that flows between two people. Conversations tend to wind around topics, come back and go forth, overlap, yet bare similar opinions and ideas. These lines represent the wave of conversation. Additionally, the colors are bold enough to make a statement, but muted just enough to allow a conversation between the rest of the decor in the room.

My work explores various themes, but has recently turned toward balancing fine detail and minimalism, and the importance of both. Being an artist allows me to explore statements of societal and personal interest, which is the essential part of expression for me. The versatility of art is why I have committed myself to it. I can continue to express myself and change media readily to incorporate all of my desired statements and needs.
